Night in the City is a narrative collection of collages. With a few exceptions, the collages in Night in the City are constructed from black and white backgrounds of Mai the Psychic Girl (published in the US by Viz Comics beginning in 1987) and the large format color panels of the 1974 treasury sized Famous First Editions reprint of Whiz Comics #1.
